DEMAND JUSTICE
During my time at Demand Justice, a non-profit advocacy group focused on court reform on all levels with a specific emphasis on supreme court reform, I had the opportunity to create impactful imagery that was featured in well-known publications like Buzzfeed, The New York Times, and CNN. I also designed collateral that was used by influential figures such as Senator Elizabeth Warren and Ayanna Pressley, as well as banner ads that resulted in over 10 times the web traffic. One of my favorite projects during my tenure was the "Confirm KBJ" campaign, which involved a lobbying event and various online marketing assets such as paid media banner ads and social media campaigns. As the lead designer, I was responsible for creating the entire visual branding for the campaign, from the logo to all of the digital assets. I was able to successfully establish a brand from scratch that captured the essence of the campaign and resonated with the target audience. We organized a lobbying event where black law students from across the country came out to support the confirmation of Kentaji Brown Jackson. It was an exciting moment for us when political influencers were wearing my merchandise and holding the signage I created, including senators and even Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. The designs I created were so impactful that they were featured on the D.C. Signs of Resistance Instagram page organically. Overall, my experience at Demand Justice allowed me to work on a high-profile campaign that involved both digital and live marketing events. I was able to successfully create a strong visual brand that resonated with our audience, and I am confident in my ability to bring that same level of expertise and creativity to any future projects.
